CruiseAware Launches Its New Cruise Health & Safety Platform

July 20, 2026 4 min read

Today marks a milestone for CruiseAware. Our website has been completely rebuilt from the ground up as a full cruise health and safety intelligence platform — designed to give cruise travelers the kind of clear, trustworthy preparation tools that simply didn't exist in one place before.

What's new

The new CruiseAware.com brings everything a cruise traveler needs to prepare for a safe, healthy voyage together on one site:

  • Free destination safety guides — health risks, travel advisories, and practical port guidance for popular cruise destinations
  • Live CDC ship sanitation scores — check your ship's Vessel Sanitation Program inspection results before you book
  • Health alerts and advisories — current notices that matter to cruise travelers, in plain language
  • The Weekly Intelligence Briefing — our newsletter digest of what changed and what it means for your trip
  • Custom Country Intelligence Reports — an in-depth, personalized briefing for your specific ship and destination, delivered to your inbox

Why we built it

Government resources like the U.S. State Department and CDC publish excellent official information — but it's spread across many sites and written for all travelers, not specifically for cruise passengers. CruiseAware translates that official data into cruise-specific answers: Is my ship clean? Is my port of call safe? What should I pack, and what should I know before I step off the gangway?

CruiseAware was founded with a simple mission: help travelers make informed decisions before they leave home. We built this platform especially with travelers ages 45 and up in mind — large, readable text, straightforward navigation, and honest sourcing on every page so you always know where the data comes from.

Giving back

CruiseAware is also a mission-driven company. A portion of what we do supports humanitarian health organizations — including Mercy Ships, Project HOPE, and International Medical Corps — that improve global health around the world. You can read more on our Partners page.
